How would you characterize the influence of your YWW experience in your life?

It was HUGE. It was the first time in my life when I was surrounded by people who liked and valued the same things I did. It seriously validated what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be. So, uh, thanks for that.

What’s the best advice you can give a Young Writer (in general or in your specific genre)?

Think about writing like athletes think about training, do it every single day. Devote yourself to it. Study it. And have fun. It’s supposed to be fun.

What do you find yourself most often reading or listening to lately and why?

Music: Jack White’s Blunderbuss. Last good book I read was Stephen King’s 11/22/63. Last really good book was Gone Girl.  Last great book was How I Live Now.
